Angry PFP and Dukascopy update

Hi nmaqba, Checked with Brad Matheny. He said there was a non-technical snag that came up with connecting the programs. He doesn't have a resolution date, yet. I'll check with another service's progress on Monday and let you know. Other than that, the only low cost solution I know of, at this point, is to buy an E-Signal month's trial. I think it costs about $50. Suzanne

Re: would this be of any interest?

Thx for the link. I'm going to try out the Mgforex DDE next month on their Contest-Demo account to see if I can hook up the datafeed to Metastock charting and backtesting.

I will report back if successful.

My trading research software is Amibroker but Wealth Lab seem to be the most powerful system for that use.

With Amibroker you can develop very precise trading systems, you can trade at any price (not only open/close) and with any condition like arbitrary price breakout or random entry decision (not only indicator signal based as in many other programs). You can use automatic stop (stop loss, take profit and trailing stops) base on points, percentage or any other custom price like ATR or SAR value (volatiliy indicator).

Amibroker offer 3 langages support (native AFL, VBScript and JScript), OLE automation and C++ interface (to develop specific DLL). They offers connection to the most popular feed sources (E-Signal integration and many others).

I think Tradestation is a good "marketing" platform for tradestation securities but it's too expensive and not so powerfull for trading research. Wealth Lab is know as the best for that use (and it's cheap).

I will probably buy Weath Labs very soon (Amibroker is very good but Wealth lab seems to be a little better).

I hope this can help you.

Oops, I didn't read the fine print. It cost $44.95/month to sign up for a Demo Trading account at MG Financial Group (Mgforex).

Best System for Forex

Hello friends

I think the best system to trade forex is the platform that offer very simple and flexible functions with a convenient interface. Ofcourse charting and technical analyses and experts are also important, I like very much MetaTrader platform, MetaStock as well. once more, i think the best system is the one that has a convenient interface and flexible options.

The Demo Account is free but the Demo Trading Account is not. The Demo Trading Account costs $44.95/month. In order to use the Mgforex DDE Provider utility, http://www.mgforex.com/eng/services/content/downloadDDE.asp, you have to have the Demo Trading Account.
