GBP suddenly got some unexpected shot in the arm and is running wild leaving alone all its buddies and even its master, Euro (remember, it was supposed to be a poodle of Euro).
If it were only the interest rate thing, then why AUD with a higher rate is being left back in the dry land.
I smell something fishy here.

a poodle of the euro - surely you jest sir - the pound is THE major economy in europe and thats why we arent in the eurozone.
