You see the mentality of "go to school; get an advanced degree; get a good paying job; work hard for the team you will be rewarded."
These are all rewarding virtues.
Unfortunately...in trading...they dont count for spit.
Likewise our reality would not survive in his world.

But our realities cross to a certain extent litigation like trading is all about cunning pre-empting your opponent coming up with a strategy to beat him or realise when you have no chance of beating him giving in gracefully with as little loss as possible both require a kind of street wisdom guile. Education intelligence although helpful in both professions are not what it takes to make it in either. The other thing is we've both seen each other in action. On one of the rare occasions the parties didn't settle beforeh I went to court to watch (the plaintiff was a minor celebrity there was quite a bit of press coverage). Awesome is the only way I can describe it the cunning manipulation was really something to see an artist at work. I had respect for that. He's also seen me trade take a few thous dollars in a few minutes but the respect I gave him for the job he does wasn't reciprocated for the job I do. Perhaps my job looked too easy to him I don't know but to this day he still mocks!
It's ok though we're having a bbq next weekend....ooops was that a jalapeno sorry I thought it was a tomato
