Re: Calling all brits

Ok Habib,

Other than bloomberg, what source would you recommend to stay current with the happenings of the Chancellor of the Exchequor?

Furthermore, if the news is a 7-2 vote is the Chancelor ballanced by this governing body of 9 yeas or nays?

When our Greenspan speaks before congress there is never any news of those who may have different oppinions. (Just a concise restatement with the same "measured" rhetoric.)

Thats an hour and a half into the trading day in London.

From a technical perspective,...the sharp spike lends itself to a lot of people waiting for one thing to happen at a very specific and expected time.

Does this gest that the big players were armed with the info and simply waiting for the highest (double top) cable price before opening the shorts?

What they reported was the expectation of 7-2, the actual minutes came out at 9.30 BST. Taking cable up to resistance at 1.8320 is just strategy, trigger some short stops to help your position and get a reasonable selling price, short on data release, trigger long stops on the way down and make a few million bucks! As you know, trading is pure strategy, all we do is try and preempt what players will do, sometimes is blatantly obvious, other times it's a double bluff, it's just a game.

I think the Royals are a source of pride (and tourist revenue) for Britain and tend to like them.
Their pomposity, eccentricity, and elegant aloofness epitomises everything British, it's great!

God Bless our Gracious Queen......and all who sail in her

Sorry pal, I got no friggin idea about news sources for that purpose.
Dissenting voices in the FOMC or its other counterparts elsewhere do have some influence in policy making , albeit delayed, and do indicate a different perspective developing from that of the majority. In other words, they are sidelined with a promise to sleep over their thoughts.
I guess I used a lot of words to say practically nothing. nuf ced.
