Re: chatroom

Ok so we all know trading is boring, like watching paint dry......even if u are making lots of money it's still boring....unless your a newbie going through the whole newbie phase but that's another thread ! So to relieve the boredom i used to go into the Moneytec chatroom and have a wee bit of craic but alas it ain't there no more sooooo....................i'm asking where do traders go nowadays for a bit of craic to relieve the boredom that's part and parcel of trading !

I checked out a few rooms on Paltalk and well hmmmmm maybe i was going into the wrong ones but i dunno lets just say they just don't strike me as professional traders no matter what they say................always seems to be some "guru" with his faithful disciples which ain't what Moneytec used to be......it used to be somewhere u could actually learn something.

Ok little rant over all replies gratefully accepted !!!

Re: chatroom

if enough are willing to pay $10 a month i can provide a stunning chat room using ivocalize. Price would be at cost of course, i dont want to make money on it but I aint going to lose either.

room would be a free for all as on mtec with the addition of voice and chartboard.

last time i offered just a couple responded and that won';t be worth doing - if we get 20 to start it off then it will roll.

If U limit it only to traders with experience 3+ or even 5+ yrs, or any other prerequisites that could measure this. U will get more take, & can even raise the charge.

No offence - just my opinion.

Re: chatroom

wouldnt want to charge more summer - would even decrease with more users. as far as experience is concerned then special privaledges could be issued to 'pro' traders and there would be moderators, chances are the pro's would be the mods and would run a tight ship anyway - up to you lot how you run it as i wouldnt be in there much anyways.

I'm not looking to make on it, I make enough trading - just to provide a place for pro's, newbies, learners etc to talk.

Given that the real figure of about 98% lose in this market it might be a lonely place if we restricted membership to professionals.

Is justified of course, to enhance learners' abilities.

The problem will be in filtering the noise. Just as in trading when traders need to filter out market noise, its essential to stay focused & converse to the point.

The key could be in creation of sub-rooms. Each could deal with a specific methodology or even time frame - (Long - short - scalpers).

If proffesional traders will be running them as moderators, - then honestly they could not help but advertise for themselves / systems. To keep it clean its best to keep it on a voulantary basis.- like current.

Any paid surcharge would help keep non-serious traders / individuals out.

U could also get some proffesionals to moderate, if the Moneytec Admin would allow placing of their ADs - Not neccessarily on the room, if its against policy.

Just food for thought.
