Could you increase your balance by 500% within one month??

Hi to all:

I have received an E-mail, from a certain broker, asking me to join a forex contest, and he presented the result of the last contest.
In one month period someone could increased his balance more that 500%:
• Is this really possible?
• Do you have any experience in reaching such high results (at least 100%) within one month?
• What's the maximum % increase you get in your demo or real trade?
• What trading strategy is adopted to reach high result?
• Is it just good luck or it can be done in continuance basis?
Any feed back is highly appreciated.Regards

It is possible, however there are great risks involved, and many who may have followed a similar strategy may have blown their accounts. Your broker is, of course, not showing all those results. So I would have to say it is a matter of luck. I also think that you would have heard about anyone achieving these returns on an on-going basis. They would be richer than Gates by now.

In general the reward is commensurate with the risk you take.

Of course its possible. But I would say its not trading ,rather its gambling. to

make such a high return, you should risk a high percentage of your equity and

there is a high chance of blowing up your account. I dont think it can be done

in a regular basis.

reaching 100% is not a big deal. i think some of our members are achieving

this, especially with a mini account. however a risk oriented trader will be

happy with a 20-40% increase.

Totally agree with mates' opinions. Increasing profit to that level will increase risk dramatically. First rule in trading is to preserve capital then make profit.

Anyway, interested to know which broker do you mean? and real or demo account? why not to benchmark my gambling capabilities ?

He is refering to FXCM and their king of the mini contest. It is a contest of account holders with a minimum of $1000.00 in the account. This is a real money contest. All mini account holders with at least $1000 participate in the contest. the results are here, King of mini results

The idea is not to make publicity to any broker, it's to understand the strategies which lead to such high percentage gain,

I agree that money management is the key for controlling and limiting the risk level; in long run, but are we sure that we cant achieve good results without following good money management?

Unfortunately many successful traders will not revile their strategies which cost them much time and efforts, so perhaps its naïve to expect any feed back from a trader who achieved 200%-500% profit.

Majed, I don't think the winning traders used any special technique, they simply used high leverage and were fortunate. To my knowledge, in the past no trader ever repeated winning the king of the mini contest.

So 4xis2ez you think:- good fortunate + high levarage= 500% winning %
if we add some mony management it will be perfect, do you think so
