Cable not joining the show with its usual strides is a clear proof of that.

Comments on these so called free real time news sources are very deceptive, especially those that give an explanation of the cause of some big move either way.
I have learnt the hard way to add my own grain of salt to what I read.

I do not think it was artificial. Simply there was strong selling pressure on EUR/CHF last weeks, based on speculation that CHF interest rate would be increased (actually it was incresed yesterday by 0.25%). I read last week on some service that one of the council members turned hawkish from dovish. Probably some insiders knew it earlier than the public.
Additionally EUR/CHF accelerated going down after breaking 1,53 which was an important support for technical traders.

Perhaps I did not make myself very clear. I was then talking about EUR/USD and USD/CHF (that were being manipulated, in my, humble opinion, at the time. It was not about the EUR/CHF cross.
Anyway cable (GBP/USD) has since joined the foray, so it is a moot point now.
About today's action. I never thought having a budget deficit a few billion worse than expected could kill USD. You learn new things everyday.
And adel, I am a beginner, a total novice in this field, so better not pay too much attention to what I say.
