Forex cuts ??

London..Pink pages today comment that the City is ready for a massive downsizing in FX trading if Britain joins the Euro

Talk already is that certain e-platform Brokers and Houses offering spec trading will go to the wall.

I think this will be bad news for the smaller individual trader as liquidity will decrease with Brokers & Banks concentrating on the bigger ticket trades to cover costs.

I hope I am wrong.

What do you think.

hi

well you will loose euro/gbp which is quiet active and also cable plus all the stg crosses. If the sterling disappear, of course all the cable and euro gbp trader would have to find another source of profit. We might see more activities in the so called emerging market currencies. but i do not think it will affect the small individual and it will not affect the liquidity at all.
