Forex versus Stocks- Please advise

When I started trading I immediately started with Forex and have never been in touch with stocks at all.
Recently I was told about a very successful lady who became stock daytrader.
She had to sell a little business, is 63 years old and from a reliable source I heard she makes good money as a stocks daytrader. (I hope to speak to her in person soon to learn more, but in the meantime I would love to learn more)
This and reading a little essay about Jesse Livermore, the famous trader wetted my interest.
I have no inclination to change my trading style suddenly, moving from Forex to stocks. but I am just curious and always open to learn.
Maybe there are some traders out ther who have traded stocks before and are willing to share what it is all about compared to Forex.

I have - naive- questions like: How does a stock trader pick a certain stock from the myriads of stocks there are out there. With Forex, at least with the usual brokers, your choice is already limited to 20 but with stocks? I would not know how to pick stocks from the almost unlimited choice there is.

Is there someone out there who changed from daytrading stocks to daytrading Forex and would like to share a few lines?

Day trading stocks typically is not worth the cost/risk. I tend to hold stocks for longer periods and for me that works but it depends a great deal on your capital and experience.

forex is excellent compare with stocks and cfd is excellent compare with stocks so please try forex and cfd.

Knvsantosh, please advise why you feel that Forex is better than stocks.
Just to say this is better than that is not enough for me. I need to know why!
