How do I automate my trading system?

Hi,

I have a good trading system and I would like to automate it (because work full time). I have no idea of how to do this and would appreciate anyone's help/advice on how to automate it so I can 'set it and forget it'.

Have you looked into doing an Expert Advisor for MT4? Maybe you can get some help over at strategybuilderfx.com.

yeah, look at it, it's pretty much awesome . You can choose a broker which uses MetaTrader, download their MetaTrader platform, put your trading system into this C++-like progamming language, test it and trade it with this broker. The cool thing is that you really just need MetaTrader (http://www.metaquotes.net/), it can test your trading systems and executes them, sends them right to your broker. You need nothing else (as far as I know ).

The problem with using most brokers metatrader demo’s as a training tool or even to test systems is thay expire after 15 to 30 days. If you use www.StrategyBuilderFX.com MT4 version never expires so your free to build multiple strategies and test longer then 30 days, you also have a choice of clearing firms.

Thanks, I will get the strategybuilder platform but as yet I don't even know how to test or back test my system. It is a very simple system which I have been trading manually for over six weeks now using the 4hr time frame and one indicator (which is provides the trigger for long and short trades). So far I have 100% success rate with a minimum 10 pip target on each trade.
