Re: How safe is a Stop?

For me a Stop is all important I just wouldn't trade any other way . I sit at the minitor for 5-6 hours a day but will still enter a Stop on my 'system' ( I guess that also means I don't have to stare at the screen all day ) .

I'll make judgement calls on the position as it 'runs' and yes I have closed a trade before it hits my stop when I've felt the trade has gone bad . I'll let the majority of my trades hit the stop ( sometimes its beyond my control ) and will take my profits before my Limits ( Profit ) as we all have I'm sure .

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with entering a Stop live and walking away from the PC . If you've adhered to your system and entered the trade accordingly then whether you sit in front of the PC like me or walk away ( or maybe go to bed ) it's all valid .

Great thread by the way
