How To Use Index Dollar Indicator

The first thing I look at each morning is the dollar index. I then compare that to the USD/CHF and then look at the EUR/USD as that is a benchmark.

For instance. Knowing that USD index was approaching major support allowed us to be big buyers of the dollar in January.

The US Dollar Index Single Currency is what moves the FX Majors against USD...as Jes has pointed out...and when a Trader/Analyst the caliber of Jes Black says its the 1st thing he checks...you would be well advised to follow suit.

If i may ask when you say in the morning do you mean, when the europe market opens or the US market opens or at the close of the US market for the Day so that will be approaching the open(morning) of the forex market market.
