Into Forex

Hi Everyone.

I'd like to know how some of you initially got into this business. Did you guys go to school or have banking jobs, etc..

Started off in high school with stocks andjust kinda floated over.

My entry into FX was after looking for something to do to earn an income after I turned 60yo.

No employer wants an intelligent or otherwise employee over about 45yo in Australia. I am well qualified and have excellent experience in a broad range of employable skills, but could not get an interview.

I have been studying TA for a while now and recently started on FX. It looks like a winner to me. 'Recently' means about 1 - 2 yrs ago. I see FX as much simpler than stock trading.

Trading online at home is great, just like running your business. No traffic jams, no parking problems, no upset bosses, etc, etc.

I was dreaming about this since i was a kid... all my education went in that direction... this means trading of course...

in my country (Serbia) that was sort of diffrent comparing to much of the guys here, because there was almost no literature and literally no school where you can learn anything about financial markets, so my friend from England brought me books i asked, and that was the way i started....

Of course, internet boom gave a big push... in the mean time i graduated in banking, finance and insurance on our University....

Forex came later, actually as a consequence of undercapitalization....

It was options or forex for me, so i picked both

Well, I don't know how I got here. Never been to finance school, or traded stocks. I guess Forex met some of the critieria I had setup in my mind. Lots of profit potential, can do anywhere, you compete against your own intellect, and low barriers to market entry (no brokers fees, etc.)

I should also disclose that I've yet to trade for real and may not. This appears to be a "it takes money to make money" game.

I found forex trading after going to every info night on make extra income and then I found this and stopped looking.

I still work full time and trade during the night, As I am in Australia this works well. I have 2 children 6 and 2 and look forward to giving them a better life.

I am glad I found this site as I have found new friends with the same interest and goals as me.

Hi all,

I've always been business minded and interest grew in share trading. After four years of playing around in shares which proved successful I discovered forex. I had heard about it but thought you needed thousands and thousands to do it, then I researched it for seven or so months and demo traded and eventually opened and now trade a live account.
