Does anyone use longer indictors on smaller timeframes, example - 20MA on 4HR chart would become 80MA on 1HR or 160MA on 30min but you would see market movements in more detail. Using a MA cross off the 4HR chart on the 30min may let you see the cross earlier within the first 30-60min as apposed to the close for the 4HR bar.

i sort of follow what you're talking about.

i find that if you just have a working strategy, it will work on any time frame. no need to change stuff for each time frame.

i have stopped flipping time frames for comparison. i just get the time frame i want to trade and trade the data off that. it's easier this way especially since i have a defined entry and defined exits.

i was reffering to something like the attached charts, as you can see the MA moves the same and looks the same but in the 30min chart you can see move detail of the movements.
