Wrong Pricing

This is what you get on Oa today for the EURUSD.... I wish I could sell at 1.2263 which looks to be their High !!!!

I wonder.. if I had a stop there..

i'm a novice paper trader -- i went long just before the the expected a move up (which printed) .. I did not expect the rapid spike up (obviously)

I am more interested in what took place : "stop hunting" (whatever that means) program bug false news ... once i know i can factor it into my trade "style"

any answers would be appreciated -- thanx

But when OA fuck up with this do they gladly take your money if your stop is hit? My guess is yes as it's happened to me with a broker.

They also had one on the GBP 5 min chart at 18:35. It shows a low of 1.8252. My charts show 1.8270. Two free charts I checked show 1.8271 1.8273. Seems like Oa was having a wee bit of a problem today. Nice if you're in the right direction. Also a good reason to not to put your stops into the market if you're sitting there in front of your pc. Also it's one of the reasons why I use closes to trip my stops.

well thanx for the explanation(s) .. but this is crazy .. what you folks are saying i cant trade with a saftey stop say 50 pips away the price (for world changing events that go against me) .. cause oa will run my stop ... what is supposed to be a trading protection mechanism will now be a trading mechanism that cleans you out if it happens more than twice a year

stops too close are a problem now stops way out are also a problem -- i dont know which is worse or what approach to take in the real trading

As far as I know a broker can not execute you at a price that has not been reached during the day. Look at the High the Low in a source like Bloomberg or Reuters. If your exec price is above/below that high/low then there is a problem.

It happend to me with one of our broker for our fund. They sold us GBP at a price that was above the market... then they re-priced the transaction.

Looks like Oa had some problems yesterday. Anyway they have 2 pips spread that's great but they have problems with stops orders.... so I moved to another broker. Stilll using Oa in Demo to test another system in parrallel.

my first experience with slippage with oa was last friday-had a stoploss at 120.76 which was breakeven- did not get out till 1.2189

needless to say I am pissed.
