Thumbs up Market Malfeasance

malfeasance \mal-FEE-zuhn(t)s\ noun:
Wrongdoing misconduct or misbehavior

I'd like to dedicate this thread to ALL traders whether you've 20 years under your belt or 20 days you've probably had one of these days or you're going to have one.... oh yes you are..... when you do please post it here

Having had 'one of those days' put in about 14 hours screen time on off during the day I'd managed to salvage the day with -8. I live in NZ so it was about 2.30am I was getting very tired emotional irritable so it was time to stop. My thought at the time was cable had pretty much done it's average daily range we'd had the high for the day. It's definitely a change of direction but to my mind at least it was going to range I'd look for longs tomorrow.

I'd like to draw your attention to the little red arrow (it looks quite cute in it's own little red arrow like way...) it's where I'd just closed my short trade which was a positive result to end the day on had rectified some of the damage I'd done during the day. With a little positiveness to hit bed with I switched the PC off...

May all our days be nothing like this one

Re: Market Malfeasance

Come on guy's - I know there's some cracking stories out there charts don't matter. Tales of woe to make us proud that's what's required!

ok... perhaps it's myth but I remember reading about a guy the day before the 87 crash he'd just gone long the S&P he didn't use stops. He thought it was ok to run across the road get himself a coffee where in the middle of the road was hit by a speeding taxi. He woke up in hospital 2 days later with his wife at his side after getting his bearings he asked his wife how the markets were...

Re: Market Malfeasance

Lol.

That little red arrow just also happened to be where I closed out my short AUD/USD trade magpie.

But on the guy in the '87 crash...

This weekend on the ABC here in oz they had a story on the Sons of Gwalia debacle last year. Interviewed a couple of people who bought heavily into Sons of Gwalia the day before they went kaput. For one guy it was his first foray into the stock market -ouch!
