I'm very much in sync with xtsunami
True mentors are not advertising or looking to find you. It is your responsibility to find him (or her) and approach with a proper attitude. If they will find you suitable, they'll tell you their terms.
Re: your question
Just keep your eyes and ears open all the time. Forums are good place to start with. Also think about what such a trader would be engaged into and look into such places. Most important - don't project your assumptions (about how he/she should look, act, talk or trade). If you suspect somebody may be qualified, talk to them to find out more. Ultimately it comes down to the proper attitude, dedication, best judgement and trust.
The good friend of mine was looking for a martial arts master. Sure we have choice of commercialized martial art schools, however it is not easy to find somebody truly authentic. Even after he has traveled to the Asia, he only faced the choice of well advertised commercial teachers. He literally had travel from village to village and look for authentic martial art master, who turned to be an ordinary guy who simply knew how to fight.
Finding a trading mentor is just so much easier. Not because anybody can trade, but mainly because you don’t have to travel thousands miles and live in foreign country for years.
