Most active market hours

Correct me if I am wrong but I underst that the following markets open at:

LONDON - 2 AM EDT
NEW YORK - 8 AM EDT
TOKYO - 7 PM EDT

I am unable to locate when the above markets "close" but I would assume 6 to 8 hours after the open.

Would I be correct to say that 8 AM to 10 AM (when London is closing NY is opening) would be the most active time to trade?

If not when?

Thanks

most active time to trade

is when London is open.
It is 3:00 to 11:00 NewYork time (EST).
You may add one hour on both side to cover Europe.

my experience only:

The most active trading hours are between 9:00- 11:00 EST (NY time)

Commodity Indexes Gold Oil etc…. Currencies included.
These hours are the most volatile hours in terms of index price change have no doubt
about these 2 hr.
I always stay away don’t trade at this time.

Most of the time major Pivots Support or Resistance lines are broken within this time frame

Second the most volatile time is 1hr after London opening ( after 4am NY time) where all the support resistance levels the previous day are tested ( plus CBOT ib Chicago opens soon)
This is the best technical time to trade because London (if not major fundamentals released) will respect major TA's wait for US session to make the final decision.

That's why most of the mechanical trading systems work the best with London session calculate London first 1-2 hr of trading for the entry.

Asian session is the least volatile ( or use to be.Tokyo opening) rarely tried even to test TA’s

However…. ?

I’ve noticed in the past 1-2 months Asian session have become more volatile trying do the same what London does: Test the major TA’s.
Hence it has became the next good TA trading.

Kind Regards
Pan
