No Win - No Fee, or Monthly Subscription?
Hi
This is a poll for those of you who pay, or are interested in paying, for a $ignal service. It's not an advert for any particular service, and as I don't sell trade calls it's not an invitation to email me asking to subscribe!!
The $ignal selling business seems to be very poorly organised, the providers don't make the most of what they're offering and subscribers don't seem to be getting what they really want. This is an opportunity to express your opinion, tell them what kind of service you need and how you want to pay for it.
Any comments or suggestions very welcome, but please no direct adverts for $ignal services.
Your opinion counts so please use your vote!
Mick

1$/pip that's an ideea, i've never seen it on any signal provider as a payment method, but it has potential... everyone who's selling this stuff should really consider it .

Re: No Win - No Fee, or Monthly Subscription?
What if you have a 100 pip losing month using their signals , would they pay you $100 ?
Would sure persuade them to come up with some damn good signals.

Re: No Win - No Fee, or Monthly Subscription?
One dollar per pip sounds good, but then you would need to tell what broker to use, since subscribers could have different results because one broker ran a stop when others didn't, leading to nasty arguments about you fabricating results to charge more.
Also, if you are aiming for lots of small guys, then $1/pip might be expensive. Perhaps you should try $0.5/pip. In the worst case it will take you 24 weeks instead of 12 to retire
Are you going to start your own service? Let me say here I would be VERY interested
Best regards,
elmarto

Re: No Win - No Fee, or Monthly Subscription?
Heck for the simple fact that it is just emailing signals really no overhead you could simply charge $10 a month, thus if you sent just one good trade signal your subscribers would still come out ahead.
I don't think it's so much what you charge, it's if you want to send good signals that your subscriber can still possibly make a profit on over and above your fees. If your signals are good you will still come out way ahead by the amount of subscribers.
After reading the "Flabbergasted thread", I never realized how many people were using/looking for signals for easy money.
To me it's never so much the cost, it's are the signals good, can the trader back them up and will the wins outweigh the costs?
Mick: I believe in the Monthly Subscription, it would seem much easier to manage.

Re: No Win - No Fee, or Monthly Subscription?
Mick,
I know there are 2 threads following the same theme at the moment, but if you use collective2, you would have various payment options.
Whatever amount per month or payment if profitable + you can offer a free trial.
It's worth using even if to verify your own signals for possible use in the future as a signal service.
Good luck
PS/ I am using the site, but I'm not going to name my service. I don't want to overtly promote it; I just think the site is very good for the industry and I can say that it does work as they say it does.

Re: No Win - No Fee, or Monthly Subscription?
1/pip could create some problems, as generally those who are looking to buy signals start with smaller accounts, they're probably trading for 1 pip-1$...but the charging methods could be more flexible..charging an amount per pip once they get to a certain montly level or something like that...
those who are selling should know what their work is worth and should charge accordingly if they wanna be selling again next month.

Re: No Win - No Fee, or Monthly Subscription?
Mick your 100% right, there needs to be more regulation of the services.
This is a great guarentee for Truville and he should immediately implement it.
if the signels dont make at least 55 pips avg a month ,you refund that month to your clients.
that is from the 1st to the last day of the month.
there must be acceptable drawdown with the signels during the month.
With all the pips you claim you are producing ,you shoundnt be afraid of a guarentee like that.
Im going to do something similer when i release my system im developing.
