Question about Forex Daily Bars

I am in the proces of collecting data so I have got Daily&Weekly Historical Data for the major currencies. Is there a Industry Standard time frame for the Forex daily bars. I have set my charts up so the start of the day is 5pm EST and the end of the day is 4.59PM the following day,feedback appreciated

That is the day at 5 p.m. eastern time is when the val date changes

Different platforms and data vendors use different times for their trading day definitions. It can be more than a little annoying.
