If you want to use a trader you could look into managed accounts. Try to find one that has a published track record that is audited by a third party. There is no reason to give your money to charity. There is this macho attitude by some saying "if you can't trade yourself don't trade at all." This complete bull. Wealthy individuals don't trade they have access to much better investment possibilities...

One expensive lesson I've learned is to have an
ammendment to the basic power of attorney
form as a legal agreement with the hired trader
to limit the total percent of open positions
limit the imum stop loss. Otherwise a trader
who is dealing with someone elses money can
get carried away make reckless "long term"
trades risking great losses inapropriate to the
situation. It is easy to lose perspective about the
value of money. Supposedly half the people in
the world live on two dollars a day.
