Commitment of traders - COT gives a clue of next major move in the market its good have a glance of weekly COT charts on weekend plan you moves ahead of market opening. COT data is given by CFTC on the last day of the week that is Friday.

Hi

I'm new in fx underst that reading COT is one of the important
tools in making decisions on the direction of the currencies.

However the COT charts which were shown in the website I
don't really know how to interpret them.

Can you enlighten me pls ?

Thanks for the heads up. One question. I underst COT data being a commodity trader. How do you incorporate the COT data for the individual currencies into your trading on the currency ps? Also can I get access to a feed of the data so that I can do some smoothing other calculations?

dargane since COT data is provided by CFTC which is a US based authority I assume that US dollars are exclusively used here to by another currencies therefore if Yen COT data show its in a bullish state I assume that traders are selling US dollar to buy Yen. You can download COT data CFTC.gov website its in a raw form you have to decipher it yourself.
