I wish to thank everyone here who has posted in response to my queries. I'm sure you are all masterful in techniques and methodologies of which you so eloquently speak. Unfortunately, as of yet I am not.

Perhaps the day will come soon when I too can espouse verbose yet arcane theories of mystical trading wizardry for which I have no viable proof of practical application or performance history. Unless of course I too choose to foster logs of minuscule financial returns as triumphant conformation of my natural financial prowess and extraordinary analytical skill sets.

Certainly there will be legions upon legions of unwitting souls thirsting to drink from my fountain of knowledge and share in the wealth that I will eventually acquire once I get around to practicing what I preach.

The wealth shall stream to me and my horde of followers as though manna from heaven. It will be as though I had bred the proverbial golden goose through my own keen understanding of alchemy and genetics, and then wed that financial fowl to a computer where upon an abundance of glistening eggs of pure gold will roll forth daily.

Well, 5 out of ever 7 days anyway. I mean come on, let's be realistic. Wouldn't want anyone accusing me of hyping a pie in the sky scheme now would I.

Such an endeavor will of course immediately require all my time and concentration, and therefore I must say adieu to certain esteemed members of this collection of forexian luminaries in who's hallowed footsteps I will most humbly follow.

Farewell both pundits of virtuosity and esteemed colleagues. Continued success to each in his own special way. May we meet again and share merrily of our exploits and future plunder as we scoff at the vast ocean of common souls who's practicality, due diligence, and lack of gullibility strike them deaf and dumb to our pied songs.

Until then;

Adieu, Adios, Arrivederci, Auf wiedersehen, Au revoir, Cheerio, Goodbye, Sayonara...

(I wasn't sure which national flag certain members may be under this day so this should probably cover it.)

Is that the Joe " Hook" Ross posting these enlightments for us mere mortals? Business must be bad for he has now to forage the forums. Or perhaps business is booming, and he has enough time to make these "freebie" posts. By the way, I didn't read through the entire post from Ross, just like I coudn't read through his overpriced books.

Fact is I am making 100 % per annum compunded with little risk(compared to the reward)..................SO I SHOULD NOW APPLY TO ....Joes Ross at Trading Educators to find some holy grail and become at Trading educator?

They will throw me out cause I don't use crytall ball techniques
of lagging indicators like charts, signals and none of the mumbo jumbo they sell at Trading educators.....I also don't use a stop loss or advise it

So I can sell techniques on betting on the currency roulette........We gamblers like to call it a business under the title of trading which it isn'tI can then make money writing a book Joe Ross's Currency roulette trading

And now for something completely different...

Okay, seriously now, is there a Holy Grail, or isn't there?

(he asked rhetorically as a preface to answering his own
question, compelled to do so by his massive ego)

If we're talking about the "real" Holy Grail, we're talking about
a myth.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Grail

"In Christian mythology, the Holy Grail was the dish, plate or cup, a vessel that caught Jesus' blood during his crucifixion. It was said to have the power to heal all wounds. A theme joined to the Christianised Arthurian mythos relates to the quest for the Holy Grail..."

We all define the Holy Grail of trading for ourselves, I guess.
Most of us would probably say something like, "Whatever it is, it
would make me very wealthy, very fast."

Great. If that happened to you, you'd have a whole NEW set of
problems. You'd probably come down with a nasty case of
sudden wealth syndrome.

Most people would say, "Well, I'd sure like a chance to find out
if I'd suffer from sudden wealth!", and there's the famous
Mae West quote:
"I've been rich and I've been poor... Believe me, rich is better"

Most everyone here is seeking some method to accumulate
wealth rapidly. If we aren't, why would we bother with trading?

When we find trading methods that work, and can settle into
them and stop desperately searching -- and this will be something
different for each trader -- maybe THIS is each trader's personal
Holy Grail.

Auto,

I saw that the moderator added a comment to my post advising me to be nicer when I direct my posts to a single person. I have to respect the moderator's wish. However, I didn't like the air of holier than thou feeling given out by Ross in his books and at the beginning of his posts. Maybe I should have read his entire post, but then if morning shows the day, then...

Have a great day,
Maji

[The point was not the problem it was just how you made it that I thought was too much]

Maji,

Let it slide right off your back. Speak your mind.

Joe's thread-starting post begs to be challenged.

Do "little risk" and "don't use a stop loss" square up?

yup they do if your trading the same instrument ....long and short in different accounts..................what goes up comes down

Yes u can use hedges instead of stop loss..........................and if you have a good hedge
then you can have little risk

and if your system trades well hedged then you risk of loss is neglible, and you get double the profits ....when the prices go up and when the prices come down....and therefore your percentage returns are superior
