SMS

Neil:

Not to jump in when you asked Trendcatcher but when I see SMS in a message I get all bubbly inside.....I come from the telecom market.

Cost should not be a factor to you because most sms ready phones etc are an email address also. so if you were going to send me updates to my cellphone you should be able to do that out of outlook or something like that.....it would go to 555-555-5555@attwireless.net. If it is an email address I would think there would not be any charges. Internet is free unless you want to be connected...

Sweet dreams its 10:30 your time I think...

Caveat Emptor [/b]

.....you forgot a catagory....those happy to help for free, who offer advice for absolutely no return. They see people struggling to make it in FX and are reminded how it was when they first started, the frustration and despair of just not being able to get it right no matter how hard they tried.

No caveat required there, emptor or otherwise, they donate their time and share their knowledge willingly and freely.

Ask yourself how much you've learnt from reading these forums, and how much it has cost...

That was the whole point of the thread Pete.

All advice followed on this thread will either
cost you or profit you..

As do I,
but please take any advice I offer

But to go on the record, I would like to thank the many people on this forum who have given me the benifit of their hard won knowledge and wisdom, many going to tremendous lengths to research their answers, providing links, charts, friendship, encouragement and inspiration...To all those I say as I always do
Thankyou!

Hmm, well I don't want to belabour the point but you wrote, and I quote...

You seem to accept that a third type of postee (?) exists within these realms, a helpful and selfless individual with nothing to gain. It's wrong to say their contributions either 'cost or profit' the reader, this is forex where a certain amount of discretion and circumspection is mandatory if one wants to be profitable, that's only common sense isn't it? You'll find their posts stimulate the traders' mind and encourage debate, as opposed to being determinate.

Your right there Pete, and I can see how my post might have caused offence, to be honest, and to put that part of the thread into context, it was late at night, there was a little banter between Bondo and I, and I had taken a couple of dips into the Glen of Tranquility (with ice).

Anyway, thanks for pointing that out, it was a little out of order so apologies all round.
Regards
Neil.
