Re: technical question - cms visualtrader

You get that password message because you are trying to unzip the file. DON'T. As I said above, the file is not zipped, I just had to give it a zip extension because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to upload it to Moneytec. You have to rename the extension (see my above message). I don't know how much clearer I can be. I assume you know how to rename files on your computer.

Re: technical question - cms visualtrader

No. I do not know how to rename a file.

I have saved it onto my desktop.
I tried right clicking the (zip) icon and clicking "rename" (and named it as you sugested), but obviously this is not the answer.

Could you give me some more detailed instructions?

Thanks
Alan

Re: technical question - cms visualtrader

You're on the right track. After saving the file to your computer, you right-click on the file (or icon) and with the Rename option you change the name from Colored Volume Bars.zip to Colored Volume Bars.vtscr. Your problem may be that you're trying to open the file by double-clicking on it. You can't, vtscr files can only be opened and read from within VT Trader. So copy the file to the indicators subdirectory of the VT Trader folder. If you open VT it's there, if you're already logged in you have to import it under Navigator>Tools>Indicator Builder.
