TradeStation

I recently decided to subscribe to TradeStation. After accessing their web page it was necessary to complete an online form to request an application form, parts of the form were completed by drop down menus and when it got to the country of residence it seems that every country in the world was available with the exception of Australia. I emailed TradeStation to query this and received the following reply from Louis Gonzales (Active Trade Sales Representative) "Unfortunately because of current laws in your country, we can longer open brokerage accounts for Australians. Thank you for your interest" I emailed TradeStation back and pointed out that Australians do not have any problems opening accounts with FXCM and most other US based operations. I further enquired if it would be possible to just use TradeStation 8 without the brokerage. Louis replied "We cannot do any business with Australians as this time. Hope you are doing well". ** What do you think Louis ** Has anyone had a similar experience ?
