Trading chaos Question?

I have just finished reading New Trading Dimensions by Bill Williams. It is the only book on chaos trading that I have read. I cannot make up my mind how I like the system. For all of the groundbreaking hype and supposed new theory of trading, it seems to be just a new twist on basic technical analysis. I will say that I do like some of his methods, I think. He explains how markets spend most of the time (75%) rangebound in unprofitable situtaions. His alligator and fractal entries are supposed to get you in the good trending trades.

My question has to do with the fractals and I am posting a image for clarification.

How far back are you supposed to count the fractals to a new breakout (awakening alligator mouth)? I am not clear if you are supposed to wait until the fractal nearest the price action is hit to start adding on the five other signals, or maybe, any previous fractal above the red line(teeth)?

Also I would appreciate any comments on the Chaos system in general, past experiences, and wether should I buy his other books etc..

Thanks, mrippy
