trading emini s& p 500

Hi dose anyone know if one can trade the S & P 500 emin`s using metatrader?
Are there any brokers providing it ? Does any one here trade them?
I know of forex traders who do both , but use differant platforms
One of the advantages seems sometimes when the forex market is going sideways /congested often there is a good trend on say the emini`s
Another reason given is that the eminis are less likely to be effected by announcements
