Trading Goals - Do you have them?

Wow, I will bite.

I have really struggled with this. When i first started researching my goal was to turn $10000 into $1M in a couple years. I went through about 380 different strategies trying to figure out what to trade and how to use this massive leverage to turn a mega profit. I trade off the basis of 'go big or go home'

After a year of just pounding out strategy after strategy I came to a conclusion. I do have a goal of doing this full time. I want to keep 5-7 accounts open and trade them all for 50% profit a year and generate a small profit $3-5k a month and keep building off it.

So I am now almost 2 years into this and I have found a couple strategies based off the EUR and the 1hr mod that turns about 80% a year. I take all emotion out of it and stick with it. At the end of each year i start a new $3k and shoot for 50-100% a year. I can be independent within 5 years of the start and I am betting that one out of the ten survives and turns a million in 10-12 years.

I am going to do it. I know 512 ways it won't work. I have 2 accounts working now that are good and as long as i don't touch the money i should be fine.

Why are seperate accounts needed?

What is your go big or go home strategy? Whats the typical trade like?

I awlays run at least 2 different account with different companies. Just liek the stock market, don't you always have more than one stock??

I always trade off the 1h chart with s/l's like everyone else. I keep an eye on it once a week and when i catch a profit i take it.

Not sure I'm understanding you. In the stock market I would have invested in more than one company, but I would only have one broker such as Ameritrade of which I trade through.

In forex I will trade multiple currencies, but only one trading platform such as GFT.

Are you referring to multiple accounts then as having certain funds in your account designated towards trading one particular currency such that you are always long or short in a position? Define account I guess. Matt
