Talking Trading Superstitions

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not really a superstitious kind of person. In spite of that, over the years I have picked up several trading superstitions that I just can't seem to shake. I'm not sure whether or not they improve my trading any, but I guess it can't hurt to obey to them.

1) No trading with your shoes on! Socks are OK. Barefoot is acceptable also, but only if your feet don't smell.

2) Don't look at a chart or even think about putting on a trade before you have been awake for at least an hour.
The exception to this is if you wake up in the middle of the night/day (whenever it is you sleep) with a strange feeling that you want make a certain trade, and you know exactly what to do without even thinking about it (yes that's freaky ). If this happens to you it may be divine or mystical inspiration, so you better act on it!

3) Look to go long on Cable if you hear or see anything British or something that reminds you of Britain. Of course this would not apply if you LIVE in Britain!

Does anyone else have any strange or unusual trading superstitions? I can't be the only one!

Good Trading!

lol, is that what the strange feeling is!

The number 13 for me, I won't open or close a trade if there's a 13 in the price, profit, or loss. Crazy huh

Well actually you could follow number 2 if you wanted, but you'd always be long GBP. Of course that would not necessarily be a bad thing, especially if you're position trading!

It could be that, or maybe it was all that funky japanese pizza you ate the night before!

LOL, yeah I guess you wouldn't be trading EUR for a while then. Although technically I guess you could say that there really is no "13" in 1.3XXX. The 1 and 3 are seperated by a decimal.

Pont #3 seems not valid for those living outside UK but having a british spouse

Cheers,

I'm the same way, except I need two hours. I wouldn't call it superstitious, but I have a routine I must follow every morning. Get up, drink tea, go for a 45 minute walk, take shower, dress, eat, go for coffee at shop 5min walk from house, then come home and begin work. It actually takes almost 3 hours from start to finish, but I'm in a great time zone so I can get away with this.

Oh, and I never trade naked.
