U.S. loses top competitiveness spot

The U.S. has lost its status as the world's most competitive economy, according to the World Economic Forum. The U.S. now ranks only sixth in the body's league table of global competitiveness, behind Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Singapore.
Risks attached to the large U.S. trade and fiscal deficits prompted its fall. The UK has retained its place among the world's 10 most competitive economies but China, Russia and Brazil have all fallen down the rankings.

Re: U.S. loses top competitiveness spot

Oh well that was bound to happen , the US has been in the league since a long time , but it has reached a saturation point, the US market is not able to sustain business which is already in the country and is not really doing much to attract new business, whereas developing countries like China and India have become the next destination for investment , hence , not really surpised to see US slide down from the top competitiveness spot
