US citizen trading CFD's?

I see that CFDs are still not available to US citizens.

If I setup an offshore corporation would it be legal? I'm not talking about some secret tax haven account. What I mean is if I open a legal bank account offshore through a legal corporation, can I trade CFDs legally as long as I pay the US capital gains tax on my proceeds?

Is there a legal non-shady way for a US citizen to trade CFDs?

The government is our friend. If they don't want us to do it, it must be really really bad for us. You know, like marijuana and privacy and stuff like that.

LOL...that's why I'm exploring the "legal, non-shady" methods first.

I tried to work around the issue a few years ago through an offshore company, but I couldn't get it to work. I would have had to deny my own citizenship to have proceeded any further, so I gave up on it as lost cause. If you figure out a legal way, I would like to hear about it.
