Victor Niedderhoffer's New Book

Has anyone read Victor Niederhoffer's new book, "Practical Speculation?" I believe it came out in Sept. 2002. I found certain parts of his "Education of a Speculator" quite intriguing. I know what many of you are saying to yourselves, "why should I listen to a man that lost his entire fortune in speculation?" Regardless, one has to admit that he is indeed an unconventional and facsinating thinker. His non-linear, enigmatic, and often abstract approach to world markets is nothing if not refreshing.

Is his new book any good? I would like to get some feedback. My local Barnes N' Noble just ordered it , and it won't come in untill early January.

Thanks.

Suggestion!

Very few books are worth to buy. You have to buy a lot of them and in time you'll see that only some of them have something which is useful. Most of them are wrote to collect profits

Ha, yes Svetlio, I know. That is why I can potentially read the entire work at the bookstore itself, without paying a penny for it.
Plus I find Barnes N' Nobles sofa chairs quite agreeable.

Cheers,

Augustus

In our trade the %`s for success are as follows

+/- 95 % failure rate

So 100 people attempt to trade 95 fall by the wayside,That leaves 5, Of those five,80 % lose their account at least 3 times lets say thats 3 people and of the remaining 2 its not said that they don`t lose their account, they just don`t lose it 3 times, they might lose it once or twice(I have yet to meet a succesfull trader or even hear about one that has not lost theit account)

This leads you to the conclusion that before you become a succesfull trader you will most probably to lose your account and so as to your question as to why you should follow a man who has lost his entire fortune,At least he is on the trail of success and you would do well to heed his advice,He may not yet be there but he`s on his way and you will learn from his mistakes

Thank You Rebell

Rebell,

Notice that I put the sentence in "quotation marks." Meaning that is what most people say when Niederhoffer's name comes up. It is not what I think of him. I am well aware of the statistics on currency speculation. I know that Niederhoffer possess an extraordinary bright and analytical mind. I just wanted to know if his new book is any good.

And it still seems like no one out there has ready it yet. If there is anyone who has, I would hope they could tell me what they thought of it.

Regards,

- Augustus
