Anyone using JMA's?

Or does anyone know of any charts that have them?

Supposed to be more reliable and faster than EMA's?

Thanks a lot for any info or opinions

Pete

JMA

Hi Pete,

Yes the JMA is faster than EMA and can save several candles of missed pips by getting you in earlier. The site is www.jurikres.com and "Nalgrim" (Andrew Peters) has incorporated it in his PowerBot trade execution system which I have been heavily involved in beta testing.

Unfortunately the only charting packages it works on are pay services (e.g. TS 2000), though Andrew has developed a basic charting package himself which integrates JMA. You can read discussion on it on his forum at www.fabrefactum.com and ask for a demo.

Whilst the algorithm is a trade secret, I have already put out calls for people who could build it into say MetaTrader or FXCM's charting package. This would have to be with Jurik's permission, though that could doubtless be obtained. Jurik suggested contacting Metaquotes which I did - dead end of course, no reply.

Chris

Many thanks for the url's, much appreciated.

Having it on MetaTrader would be really useful as it's a charting package I already use and like, maybe if enough people email them they might respond!

Some interesting developments going on over there at the Fabrefactum factory that look worthy of a closer look, thanks for that.

With JMA being faster did you find an increase in the number of false crosses or did you compensate with a longer JMA?

Have you used JMA as an alternative to an ?MA in an existing trading system?

Sorry for the questions but I cannot find any info or comment on JMA apart from on the vendors website.

Thanks

Pete

If you go to this link:

http://www.jurikres.com/down/product_guide_.pdf

It will tell you quite a bit.

If you don't want to pay for the JMA then look into T3 MA and it is free.
