MACD Settings (Parameters)

I checked out Peter Bains site and on his MACD settings he has:

0.075; 0.15; 0.2

Any idea what these mean or how to interpret these into normal MACD settings?

The chart displays the exponential percentage determined by the period used in the MACD calc.

exponential percentage = 2 / (period + 1)

exponential percentage = 2 / (12 + 1) = 0.1538 or 0.15

the 0.075, 0.15, 0.20 settings are equivalent to 26,12,9 period settings

Hope this helps.

I didn't understand that but thanks for the explanation and clearing that up.

I can just use the normal settings now.

Thanks

I used to have to calculate these when I was using the Saxo Bank java charts. I had forgotten about what they were. Thanks for the update.
