As with most technical indicators MACD determines the trend. If you stay with the trend you could become a successful forex trader. Finally in a practical sense MACD denotes the simple convergence of two moving averages. For example, it could appear as the average price line for the past week crossing over (perhaps up or down) the average price line for the past two weeks. A rising MACD indicates a rising price. When the two lines meet it is considered a neutral situation. Finally a decline below neutral usually indicates a short term declining trend. As a beginner it would suffice to know just the basics of MACD as elucidated above. But if you want to know more of the MACD and how it is constructed you would do well to join forums or search the Internet.

pinalli, I thank you for your reply on the MACD. I have seen MACD with lines, histograms etc and wondered about them. I have also glanced at the QQE but paid just a cursory attention as well as I am a candlestick person. You have stimulated my curiosity and I will investigate further. Any other pointers will be greatly appreciated. Nice to have you here.

This is Jeff.The Moving Average and MACD are best Indicators for trending Market. Just Try MACD And Moving Average, really it will definitely work.

Details of MACD and Moving Average


MACD (Moving Average Convergence/Divergence) – A technical indicator developed by Gerald Appel that is calculated by subtracting the 26-period exponential moving average of a given security from its 12-period exponential moving average. By comparing moving averages, MACD displays trend following characteristics, and by plotting the difference of the moving averages as an oscillator, MACD displays momentum characteristics.

Moving Average (MA) – A technical indicator showing an average of data for a certain number of time periods. It "moves" because for each calculation, we use the latest x number of time periods' data. By definition, a moving average lags the market. An exponentially smoothed moving average (EMA) gives greater weight to the more recent data, in an attempt to reduce the lag.

I am using MA-24, MA-88, ZigZag, RSI and BBFiboX. They have been helping me when trading manually.

On one of today article,
The Euro visited the high ground above 1.41 this morning, but briefly, and quickly headed south and is now trading at 1.4023. There have been some minor reports that conclusively prove the rate and intensity of the economic recovery is inconclusive. Manipulating market action today, on the last day of a very busy quarter for investments, is bound to occur.

It's holding it's support at 1.400 and hitting resistance level...
It's like the bull ride! Open the door and there he goes! but be careful for the fall..

Of the subject.. I went with a body of mine a few years ago by Gilroy CA to a practice bull riding place and they charged me $20 the first bull and then if you want to ride anothere one then you only pay $10...
I was so excited and I asked this guy to film me so I gave him the recorder. As I satt down on the bull I graved on real thight and the door man said, are you ready and I said no and he yeld out, You said go!go! So they opend the door and there I went off..
It was silent, all I could hear was the bull steps.. I then felt that I was falling and I said oh s...t!! I then hit the ground and started running as fast as I could till I got back to the bars were it was save..
I then asked the guy for my recorder and I pressed play and this guy starded to to do the recording right but he never moved and all you could see was the guys but when he was tying up my hand to the bull and then you see when I fall...
I said what is this so I told the guy that did the recording, look stand over here and record me from the front.
I then had to ride anothere one and yeah you guessed it I viewed the second video and the guy that was tying me my hand, he moved toward the front of the bull so all you see was his but again and when I fall off the bull and the second fall did hurt alittle more...
That was my first and last bull ride besides this one that we are all waiting for!

Sorry but it was something that poped into my memory and wanted to share... Good trading!!!

I think we'll hold at 1400, check the MACD for indications. We have to be careful though!
