A Collection of Butterflies JohnnyB has closed his KISS butterfly thread, however there still seems to be interest from people wanting to learn these patterns, so feel free to post them here and anything else involved with Fibs. Here's a starter - CAD just looking like it could give a turn north. This is a pattern I have not seen anyone show- I call it Cliffhanger. arco Last edited by Admin; August 7th, 2009 at 12:09 PM.

Re: A Collection of Butterflies Lifeguage Yes that is correct. For some reason, which is beyond my control, the chart title appears in reverse. The chart is of USD.CAD arco

Re: A Collection of Butterflies Hey guys, didn't think it would be too long before we started up again, seems to be some interest in this topic still. Here's a possible Gartley Buy setting up in Euro. AB=CD almost complete. Arco nice USD/CAN chart.

Re: A Collection of Butterflies Hello Sajake, Wonderful charting once again! How do you manage to keep spoting these Gartleys!? I've attached a simplistic view of your charts should those who are reading this thread be interested. If we go long where I have this yellow arrow, around the 50% retracement, is the possible take profit where I have the blue extension line? I've drawn it in , but am not too sure if its a 1.2 extention or a 1.62 extention of "CD". You use too? Please advice? Regards.

Re: A Collection of Butterflies Hey Life, what you have drawn is a possibility. Of course it has to get past the first peak at 1.2150 then 1.2200 to reach the extension.

| Re: A Collection of Butterflies Quote:
i.e. 1.2150, 1.2200, and finally 1.2300? |

Re: A Collection of Butterflies I posted this Crown in the thread (Fibs- a journey from easy to Butterflies) before the thread was closed. It is on page 58 #462 with an explanation. Last edited by pipmagnet; October 10th, 2005 at 03:19 PM.

Re: A Collection of Butterflies The above Crown Failed: My Interpretation of the crown !! The author only allows a 61.8 and I used a 78.6 !! Arco Thanks for keeping the studies going Last edited by pipmagnet; October 10th, 2005 at 08:48 PM.

Re: A Collection of Butterflies Yes taking partial profits is one way. Plotting a moving average or trailing the price is another way. Personal preference. I like to try and combine both if possible. Hi Pip, thanks for posting the follow up crown post.

Re: A Collection of Butterflies Hi Juan Whats the fib targets for a Bull Crown ?? I think this looks like a classic on the Eur.Gbp weekly (I also have some nice Butterflies working their magic on this chart) arco

Re: A Collection of Butterflies Hi Guys Great to see all your charts and comments. I posted several charts over on the AB-CD thread which I hope may be of interest. As there seems little interest over on that thread here's a follow up possible AB=CD trade on the Eur.Jpy. It has a concealed butterfly (just substitute the 'a' or 'c' for an 'x' and you should spot it). There are a number of ways this one can be traded both now on the north leg and south bound later once the reversal signal comes. arco NB. The light grey letters show a successful ab=cd trade for a max of 516 pips.(Up to the blue 'b').

Re: A Collection of Butterflies Arco Lifeguage Yes that is correct. For some reason, which is beyond my control, the chart title appears in reverse. The chart is of USD.CAD arco Hi Arco It appears you are using Metastock and if that is the case, the reason for your Chart displaying incorrect protocol could be the fact that it was entered incorrectly when setting up your pairs.....If it is of concern to you, go to Metastock downloader and change the name there to display the pairing sequence correctly, if of no concern leave it as is. Hope this helps Cheers NFI

Re: A Collection of Butterflies Hi NFI Thanks for your kind thought. The chart creation is automatic as it downloads from the data supplier. If I change the title will it affect future downloads? I'm thinking the downloader will just create another chart - which will still be CAD-USD. arco
