Re: G-unit pimpin on forex

Ecology you are not wasting your time at al. I for one read your posts with interest all the time. That was a good call on the Yen. Where do you see it going next week? August is usually a strong month for the Yen. But so far nothing.

Re: G-unit pimpin on forex

Hi yardie, let me first thank you for reading my posts and sharing your input.
I haven't had much time on hand to see the upcoming events for the week (13th to 18th Aug 2006).
I will keep this thread posted for the upcoming currency news and my analysis.
As for what I will be looking at, will be mainly concerened with GBP,JPY,USD.
I will not assert any positions right now, but I am biased towards eur/usd bulls to atleast touch 1.30 from current level, but I am not sure when this will happen and what will be the bottom, will keep the readers updates,
In mean-while all your comments or speculation is welcomed.

thank you

Re: G-unit pimpin on forex

Will keep you updated; as the news sets up for the coming week.

If the bulls take the pair to 1.29 or it tests 1.26 before any higher highs.

So far EUR/USD is overall bullish with US economy slowing down and inflation still a problem, I see a max another 25 points hike if at all. If inflationary pressures ease (Concerns: energy prices; recently due to BP pipeline shut-down and hurricane season coming in the States), we could see the monetary policy at a stand-still till mid-next year. As the Interest rates still have a lag before the data comes out and shows its effect. I see dollar weakness, however I doubt that deficit will weigh on the currency, it will be the future outlook of interest rates and GDP growth that will decide the pair.

With EUR set to raise interest rates twice this year, I see EUR as a more attractive pair. Recently banks have shifted there reserve currency from USD to EUR.
With YUAN set for revaluation, I see USD/JPY bears, and hence adding to USD weakness.
But concerns like geo-political can change any-thing and everything.

EUR is Neutral / Positive
USD is Neutral / Negative

However I am not taking any positions at the moment, Sunday Night 2 EST should be interesting when LONDON* (edited: TOKYO) opens, lets take it from there.
Good luck

PS: Buy if the trend line holds and if in profit move stop-loss to 1pip profit after spread, if the current profit is above 20Pips or if a conservative 15Pip should do.

This is mere speculation, and hence does not guarantee any profits; I or anyone relating to this post cannot be held liable for any damages. Please consult your financial advisor if in doubt about investments, and trade according to your risk appetite.

Re: G-unit pimpin on forex

Ecology how did you come up with that trendline on your charts? It seems arbitrary to me. I see another trend line in the Uncle Elliott thread by Marketwavez that seems to show the EURO is already well below the trendline. The chart is here: http://www.moneytec.com/forums/attac...g?d=1155425497

Re: G-unit pimpin on forex

another possible scenario
is Eur/Usd may go up to touch 1.2740-50
then go back down to 1.2665-85 to end first wave of correction
