question about limit orders...kind of a rookie question

If you put in a LONG limit order at 100.00, your order will go through if the transactrion can be made BELOW 100.00.

Therefore if you put in a SHORT limit order at 100.00, your order will go through if it can do it for OVER 100.00, correct?
