NEW YORK (AFX) - The dollar eased modestly against the euro yen early Friday after data showed the U.S. first-quarter gross domestic product grew slightly below expectations inflation moderated. The U.S. economy snapped back in the first quarter growing at an annual rate of 4.8% close to expectations of a gain of 4.9%. The core consumer price index retreated to a 2% annual rate 2.4%. Separately employment costs increased 0.6% in the first quarter. Economists were forecasting a 0.9% gain in employment costs. The euro was at $1.2555 up 0.2% while the dollar was at 114.13 down 0.02%.

Euro 1.2560<>1.2580 is heavy Resistance as the Bulls were not able to capatize on the Swiss/Cable advance/decline.

Euro on the Daily has the Battle of the 50Fibs....

Range 1.3665<>1.1640.....1.2652...>50Fib

Range 1.3479<>1.1640.....1.2560...>50Fib

London Session had the Swiss selling off further to 1.2489 1.2612 for over 100Pips with Cable Rallying also close to 100Pips with Euro North contained at the 50Fib for the Range 1.3479<>1.1640 @ 1.2568 for the current High only Rallying 40Pips.

Euro 1.2560<>1.2580 is heavy Resistance as the Bulls were not able to capatize on the Swiss/Cable advance/decline.

If US GDP prints at 5.00<>5.4% for 1st QTR Euro Bulls will Exit for a sharp South Reversal off 1.2560<>1.2580.

US GDP prints slightly lower than expectations @ 4.8% with 5.00%<>5.4% neccesary for a Euro Bull Exit which has a continuation to the 50Fib of the 1.3665<>1.1640 Range @ 1.2652...

Euro Sell Zone 1.2652<>1.2630 for a Euro Bull Exit on profit taking.

Kinda looks like one of those days where price just hovers in mid until the close after the rape of the shorts today.

If anything euro/usd looks like it's going parabolic so a big drop is likely. The only thing is it could go for another 50-100 pips before dropping. Kinda reminds me of silver last week.
