FX Data feeds Hi, I am about to write a trading program/signal generator in Java (for cross platform functionality) as part of my MSc disertation. Does anybody know of a relaible data feed provider that is not proprietary ie in ASCII or another readable format? Thanks in advance Gary.

Re: FX Data feeds Hi gscull, Gain Capital offers a proprietary API service but they have a support forum where you might find some snippets of code that would probably be beneficial to your endeavors. May I ask what's your dissertation on anyway?

Re: FX Data feeds Hi Bishamon, Thanks for your reply, I have found a decent source of EOD data which I can use. I am writing a piece of software that will employ pattern recognition and fibonacci analysis to provide likely turning points in the market and hence buy sell signals and exit points based on sound money management techniques and appropriate risk:reward ratios. The university is more interested in the programming aspect, but I intend the software be fully tested for its accuracy of predictions and providing a good return on investment. Testing should begin in early August. I can post the results here if anyone is interested?
