You are right to say that with high amounts, a trader will use the martingale properly. But you and i know that we cannot perform the martingale with just 500 dollars, we might be needing 15k to 20k dollars to achieve that. But most traders do not have that amount.

I don’t think so, it is possible to use martiangle if we had 500 dollars in our account. We can use the lowest lot size and maybe it could be used for 4-7 level martiangle. It is depending on your money management but it’s not good to be used by beginner traders.

if i am using 0.01 lot in IFX Which is equal to 1 cent per pips is not a Big risk for $500 account, To blow my account i need to loose 50000 pips which is not so easy.

That was good idea to learn with real account but with 0.01 lot that will be so few profits that you got with $500 as capital. Don’t you think 0.1 lot is enough because it can cover 5.000 pips.

That lot size mentioned by me is the base lot, which means trading start at that lot but when price moving against us it will get double for every 50 pips like

    0.02
    0.04
    0.08
    0.16
    0.32
    0.64

Now when i see some 300 pips movement against my first trade then the new trade will open with 0.64 lot which is some what big lot. But if last trade TP achieved then i will be in profit when i compare over all.

if you cover all loss in last lot size 0.64 then its good trading. but i want to know how much time it will take for close trade..?
may be in this type trading do you give importance to news also…?
for this type trading need a good capital & proper money management.

Yes that’s why i started with some minimum lot so that even price move against me because of news my account will stay alive.

Here risk increases as the price move against us, The time depends on the movement of market. Some days i will make some good profit but some days even not able to open any new trades because slow movement.

Your trading strategy is completely free of risk. You have a very big capital to support your margin. However, your trading lot size will not give you much profits in this case. You should increase your lot size to at least $20, becasue if market gets retrace, so it will require the 2500 pips travel, which is not easy, and your profits will also increase at a faster rate with such normal lot..

But when market is too volatile and drop or gain more than 500 pips then my account may blow because it use martiangle strategy in which risk doubles, In one of my account my EA opened 5.12 lot to close all trades at a time in profits, if price moved 50 more pips against me i may lost my account but luckly price retraced and my $5 lot trade closed in profit.

murarli603 give very good margin for trading to EA. i think it will save in case market goes opposte of your trade. but as andry say for 0.1 lot size. in my view its not good for EA. becasue EA open other trade 0.2 after next 50pips as you said. in this case account blow chancess more. for 0.2 lot size you need 10000$

Yes according to my money management i should have $10k to use 0.2 as base lot, Now even i have more than $1k in my account i am still using 0.02 as base lot and no planning to increase lot size for one more month.

Once i increase lot size from 0.03 to 0.04 on same account, on the same market become volatile and i faced some huge risk and my account ran in some -ve margin but a small retracement saved me or else whole account might gone and recently i faced such kind of thing and closed trades manually in loss.

these 2 situations made me to take some less risk, thats why no increase in lot size till Dec first week, i will increase lot size after NFP.

if you are using EA on usd base pair then its good that we change property of EA after NFP news because the upcomeing market movement expect on base NFP. specially when our EA work on martingale strategy.
its batter we fully trade within our range no need to cross money management.

If EA is running only few trades then MOST probably i will disable EA when there is an Big upcoming news, but if it already has some good number of trades which are running in loss then i can’t close all in loss so i will continue EA.

disable is EA may be give good result but if you have good margin then no need to disable EA. if you have small margin and at the NFP time open trade is more then disable EA but if open trade are less with low lot size then you can continue with EA.

Yes you are right, if i have more number of trades then if i disable EA then i can’t close trades in profit at all at last NFP i did same way and got some more than $100 loss but i covered that loss after some 15 days of trading but now again situation is like that but waiting for some retracement in GU.
